RAMA'S GRIFE. after taking sita ravana crossed the vast see with sita and entered the island-city of lanka. and sita was in asoka vana it was a very beautiful park with plenty of trees and flowering shrubs and fountains. birds and butterflies.she was totally sunk in grief. after killing mareecha, rama has returned back to the hut. on the way he met lakshmana running towards him and he said quite angrily,''o lakshmana! why have you left sita alone and come here instead? oh , why did you leave her, let us go back quickly to the hut!''as they ran lakshmana told his brother how sita had accused him of all intention and had forced him to go to her husband's help as she had threatened to end her life otherwise.when they reached the hut they found it empty and saw the scattered rice, flowers and the upturned kamandalam. they knew at once that sita had been kidnapped by some one.''let us search for her.''on the way they huge figure lying on the ground. it was the wounder jataayu, the king of eagles.'' o rama! i saw ravana off with sita in his chariot and attacked him when she begged me to help.ravana chopped off my wings and i fell on the ground. i am waiting to tell you about ravana!''and died.then the two brothers moved on and searched sita.
